24-Hour Monitoring

ADT Home Security can provide continuous monitoring of your home’s security 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  While some security systems are monitored by third party companies or perhaps only by one command center, ADT home security systems are monitored only by trained ADT employees in 5 strategic command centers throughout the US.  This means that your home is protected even if a connection with one center is interrupted.  In this case, one of the other four centers will take over monitoring your home.  This translates into virtually no down-time and a home security system that you can rely on at all times.

How does 24-Hour Monitoring Work?

1. The home is monitored 24 hours per day through the installed ADT home security system.  In the event of an emergency, the system will send an alert to one of ADT’s monitoring centers.
2. The monitoring center will attempt to contact the homeowner via phone after the alert is received.  If the phone is not answered or the person answering the phone cannot supply the personal identification code, the center will then notify local authorities.
3. Once local authorities are notified, officers can be dispatched to the home to determine the cause for the alert and respond to any emergencies.
